Your objective or purpose is to persuade your audience that your chosen theme is one valid way of understanding the link between Conde’s assertion and a theme in I, Tituba. In addition, select three literary elements—e.g. metaphor, irony, paradox, allusion, parody, etc—in the novel and as part of your analysis argue how/why these literary elements help your audience forge a better understanding of your chosen theme.
