Impact of Megatrends in Supply

Based on your experience or readings, discuss how these mega trends affect the Purchasing and Supply Management professional in the exercise of his/her duties and responsibilities – in particular Supply Chain Management and Supplier Outsourcing in the public and private sectors. What are the salient factors that have contributed to the evolution of the Purchasing and Supply Management profession?
