In this learning Journal, you need to bring together an understanding of the treaty process based on on the readings for the four weeks focused in this section. You need to articulate both meanings of treaties, over the centuries for Indigenous peoples, for European Powers and Canada, and the range of experiences with the treaty process. An average grade for for this journal simply involve talking about the meanings acquired by doing the readings. A good grade would involve a deeper understanding of the treaty process, the implications of violating treaties, both in terms of what this means for what Canada is as a nation, and how Indigenous peoples have been forced to adapt to this violation. AN EXCELLENT GRADE would address these themes while being extremely well written.
