Write a paper to those who will be involved in the assessment efforts, announcing the upcoming assessment plan for your program, department, or institution. In the paper:
• Summarize what assessment is and why it is needed, using the readings for supporting evidence and providing citations.
• Explain briefly the decline of learning in higher education, but provide a preview of strategies that could halt and reverse this decline, particularly as applied to the upcoming assessment efforts. Use the readings for supporting evidence and provide citations.
