Current thinking in regards innovation assumes that knowledge is the asset to be managed, innovation is the process and technology provides the supporting infrastructure. Innovation is regarded as a flow of knowledge (Amidon, 2003, pp. 76-77).
You are required to develop a comprehensive implementation strategy or a change management plan to address the HR challenge you have identified in assignment 1. You are required to describe and explain how you, as HRM, would facilitate and enable the “flow of knowledge” and create an innovation mindset in your organisation. Be sure to address the three domains of structure, culture and strategies within a comprehensive implementation or change management plan. This plan must clearly demonstrate how the change initiative proposed is a response to the identified current needs of your workplace and how the plan would be undertaken. You must justify your approach with reference to the literature.
Presentation of your assignment
This assignment is structured so that you can pursue an area of interest within your organisational context. There are no set requirements in terms of presentation of your implementation plan so feel free to exercise some creativity, but please refer to the assessment criteria sheet for guidance on general areas that need to be addressed. You should include the mindmap included in assignment 1 as an Appendix
