How are integers different from rational numbers?

Explain what an integer and a rational number are. How are integers different from rational numbers? Explain how integers and rational numbers are related to the set of real numbers? Give an example of a number that is a real number and a rational number but not an integer, and explain why it is so. When subtracting real numbers, you change the operation of subtraction to addition and change the number being subtracted to its opposite. Explain in your own words why this is done. Give an example of how subtracting a number is the same as adding its opposite.
