For both the countries that you selected

1:Describe its geography. Include information that would be pertinent for Target, it could be regarding location or historical geography (how the region changed over time) or social geography (how has society affected the geographical history and how the environment affected society).

2:Identify demographic trends that might influence the business activities of the company in the country—such trends could be related to population, religion, language, race, literacy rates, and/or educational requirements. Outline how the population in the country would perceive the entrance of Target into the marketplace.

3:Develop a potential customer profile by analyzing both demographics and psychographic factors in each of the locations.

4:Explain the cultural differences, purchasing power of the potential customer base. Describe their buying habits.

5: Identify cultural differences between Target’s American customers and the customer base of the two countries.

6: Examine the risks associated with competition in the country. Identify the kind of competition that Target can expect in the country. Identify potential companies that Target will be competing against.

7:Discuss the technological environment in the country. Indicate whether the country utilizes any of the following: RFID, e-mail, video communications, just-in-time inventories, or other aspects of an online shopping capability. Outline the funding that the country invests in technology-related initiatives in the retail industry.

8:Based on your geographic and target market research, select at least two cities in each of the countries where you think Target will be able to open successful stores.

9:After gathering information on the above parameters, identify the country that presents a better business opportunity to Target.
