Intrapsychic and Personal Factors

Intrapsychic and Personal Factors

Order Description

In this Application, you will examine two of three intrapsychic or personal factors that impact conflict and its resolution. The first is bias. Personal beliefs and

cognitions may lead to misperceptions and misunderstandings that may, if undetected and unidentified, have detrimental effects on attempts at resolution. A second

factor is emotion. Emotions can have positive and negative effects on conflict and its resolution and, conversely, conflict and its resolution impacts emotions. This

interaction between conflict and emotions occurs at all levels of conflict, from the interpersonal to the international. Personality is a third factor that affects

conflict and its resolution. However conceptualized, and whatever the theory that explains it, personality influences behavior during conflict and attempts to resolve

it. Understanding the role of personality and personality differences can provide information valuable to the successful resolution of a conflict.

Final Project: Peer Mediation for Bullying in the Public School System
For my final project I am planning to research bullying in the public school system. I will focus on peer mediation to resolve the conflict. My paper will be outlines

as follows:
1 What is bullying
a. Who is involved?
b. Where is the problem occurring?
c. Why is bullying a big deal?
d. How is the conflict going to be resolved?
2 Peer Mediation
a. What is peer mediation
b. Who is involved in the process
c. Where will the peer mediation take place?
d. Why would one chose peer mediation?
e. When will the peer mediation happen?
f. How dose peer mediation compare to other alternatives

1 What is bullying a. Who is involved? b. Where is the problem occurring? c. Why is bullying a big deal? d. How is the conflict going to be resolved?
Actually, the bully is anyone that wishes to maintain control over others that hides his / hers insecurities and fears. Try and think of a bullying as acting out such

insecurities to mask painful self-inflicted emotions, thereby, the bullying assists in covering up the cry for mental health help. Instead, the bully is more concern

in affecting the negative energy of low self-esteem on someone else. Think of often the way to stop bullying is standing up to the bully and the victim willing to

fight for freedom of peace; the result is bullying cease immediately due to the bully running away. Aim in focusing on how today bullying is more perverse and constant

due to the age of technology and now everyone is connected to everyone 24/7 hours a day.
By focusing on conflict resolution, the issue is communication and root cause to why bullying occurs that impact families as well as communities. The victim is unaware

that strength inside can overcome the extreme low self-esteem bully conducting such mean spirited actions. Thus, the conflict can reflect in talking things out to get

to the “real reason” why bullying can happen just not at school but in the workplace as well. Of course, the workplace is difficult due to the victim needs employment

to pay their living expenses, however, in some cases if not addressed the victim can start having mental health problems (try and associate the health concerns ranging

from high stress, poor diet, and withdraw from others).
2 Peer Mediation – a. What is peer mediation b. Who is involved in the process c. Where will the peer mediation take place? d. Why would one chose peer mediation? e.

When will the peer mediation happen? f. How dose peer mediation compare to other alternatives
Keep in mind, the role in peer mediation is by problem solving by the same youths, between two school age people, to dispute an issue within a confidential framework

of an environment. The peer mediation should entail the focus on communication on the youth’s level to ensure a more solid resolution. Aim in thinking the primary

objective of peer mediation is problem solving through communication that clarifies misconception by the other individual. Thus, in comparison to other methods of

mediation the groups are either larger with representatives (representing) either side of the debate or just a few for mainly discussions primarily. In consensus, the

timeframe can differ in conducting any peer mediation, thus, the research should entail outlining the problematic “urgency” as a key indicator to when the peer

mediation actual takes place.
