Assignment: Application of Chapter 3 techniques
This assignment is due on February 16th and is worth 20 points

Please begin this assignment by reading two paragraphs. The first is called Two Final Notes and is on page 123 of the Higgins book. He states, of the techniques we are reading about: Some you will like, some you wont but try as many of them as you can. The second paragraph to read is the first paragraph on page 225, he states: These techniques are extremely helpful, but only if you use them. read the paragraphs before beginning.

This assignment is different than the Reading Assignment #4 that you submitted to the discussion board. For RA #4, I asked you to reflect on the content and write about one or two of the creative techniques and how you applied it in the past.

This assignment is to think about the 26 techniques in chapter 3 of Higgins book, practice three of the techniques, and then write a report on your practice. Do not look backwards and think how you had done a similar thing without realizing it in the past. The assignment is to deliberately use the technique.

You should know, now, that there are a total of 26 techniques in Chapter 3. You shall all write on the very first technique in the first of the eight stages, number 1/1 Comparison Against Others. Then you shall select two others, one from stage 2 and one from stage 3.

For the first technique select some other entity, person at work, student, etc, considered good, if not the best, at what they do. Then apply technique 1/1 and report your comparison and what you think could be useful to you as a result. Finally write a sentence or two about what you thought of the technique and the results: Does it have potential? Would you try it again?

For the other two techniques select any one technique from 5/1 to 13/9 and one from 14/1 to 25/12 and try them. Report on how it went, finishing with a sentence or two about what you thought about the technique and the results. Does it have potential? Would you try it again? Note that some techniques may be impractical for us to use, for example 2/2 or 13/9.

Requirements:
1.Please clearly state the technique and the number given to the technique.
2.Length should be3-4 paragraphs to 1 page for each technique. Please put all three written responses in one MS Word file for submission.
3.Times New Roman font, 12 pt.
4.Single Space the entire technique, even between paragraphs.
5.1 margin on all sides.

Once again, the requirement is for you to deliberately apply the three techniques. Do not simply think and write about a past experience.
