The most recent edition of the Kappan deals specifically with Literacy and the Digital Age, a prevalent topic throughout this course.  Select ONE of the articles posted above as the basis for your paper.  Keeping in mind that the Kappan is NOT a peer-reviewed journal, but rather an editorial with it’s “finger on the pulse” of education, I would like you to consider one of these articles as the premise for a research study.  How would you design a study to test the topic(s) covered in the article you have chosen?

• What research questions would you ask?
• How would you go about quantitatively studying this topic? (method of inquiry, design)
• How would you go about qualitatively studying this topic? (case study, phenomenology, grounded theory)

There’s no template to follow for this assignment, it is purely a critical thinking/writing excercise designed to have you begin crafting research studies on a variety of topics.  Please submit 7-10 pages + references.
