Long-Term Care – What is it, and who gets it?
Long term care encompasses many areas.

For your first case assignment you are to research and discuss three types of long term care. You need to include the types of services offered, who seeks this type of care and the differences between the three types you have discussed. Discuss why one would need the services of long term care. Finally, you are to discuss the physician’s reason for selecting the types of long care you discuss.

Length: 4-5 pages (Remember to include your references)

The following items will be assessed in particular:

1. Your knowledge of the various types of long term care and the differences between each type of care.

2. Your knowledge of the services offered to long term care customers.

3. Your discussion of who qualifies for long term care services.

4. The physician’s role in selecting long term care services.

I will grade your paper on your ability to address the assignment criteria listed above with depth and breadth of discussion. I will also critique your writing format (i.e. proper reference citations, spacing, etc.).
