Macbeth-short story modern adaptation. Short story must include the theme of unchecked ambition and betrayal in a modern day scenario.Short story must be written in modern day language. Some of the symbols and motifs of the original play must be incorporated into the story. There must be a distinct event e.g. the equivalent of Lady macbeth which changes macbeth’s point of view on killing Duncan from his prior uncertain state. Not all characters must be incorporated into the adaptation-only main ones. Prophecies and the witches should be omitted from the adaptation.
