Write an in formal essay on the causes and nature of the housing crash (financial crisis) that hit in 2007-2008. Using the two presentations we watched in class – by PBS Frontline and Peter Schiff (links included in the uploaded document) – as your foundation, the essay should:
(1) Give an explanation of the financial crisis and why it occurred, interpreting the events through the lens of an economist (maximization, tradeoffs, markets, supply and demand, etc.);
