Major essay #2

In a major essay, comprehensively compare and contrast all of the classic speeches of Lincoln’s (i.e., all of those you were asked to read). Consider his progression and the evolution of his thoughts. Consider that he became more poetic and consider both why and how. Note the stark difference between the 1st and 2nd Inaugurals. Consider the brevity, beauty, and impact of The Gettysburg Address. What had he so clearly discovered both about his nation and himself?
