Making Changes

You are now taking over as the Chief of Police and as condition of hire your council wants you to establish a nontraditional organizational structure of dealing with the citizens you and your agency will serve. Using your text as a reference, look at what is there at your agency and do a little background research as to what crime-related issues are prevalent in your city or town. Then pick an alternative method of policing you feel will address these concerns. Clearly define how your proposed changes fit in with the ideas of community and problem-oriented policing. Present your changes and how you will effect and finance them.
