This research aims at studying the current practice with regard to training in a Saudi universities by considering one University as a case study. In doing so, the
dissertation will follow the below set of objectives:
1- Start with a literature review about training and development that will supports the research. Then connecting the literature the to current research findings.
2- Identify the current training and development procedures adopted by the researched university and any future plans for further development.
3- Examine the current training the staff are receiving and to what extent to they are satisfied with it.
4- Evaluating the results through combining the applied system, employees views and the university’s vision and mission.
5- Provide few recommendations that the university can adopt to improve its training system.
