Management Plan
Management Plan (For CloudRewards LLC. as Co-CEO and Head of Software development department)
You will write a comprehensive management plan for this business idea. This plan should incorporate the concepts we discuss during the semester and hit these main topics: 1.) What is your management role (initial and evolving); 2.) Describe your organization’s work environment, particularly for your employees; 3.) What are your hiring and firing policies; 4.) How you will deal with peers (c-level/founders); outside board members; investors; partners; 5.) Create your public persona – how will you position your company, yourself to the public, to the media and to your competitors; 6.) What is your exit strategy (ies)? This plan should be written in clear and concise language. You will be graded in the following areas: content, written skills, completeness. This plan will be due on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Breakdown of each section’s deliverables:
1.) What will you specifically do when you start your new business – will you take on a functional role(s), such as head of software developer and CTO (chief technical officer) and be the lead business development person. How do you see your involvement in the venture as it hopefully progresses through its introduction, growth, maturity and decline stages – what do you perceive your roles to be in each of these stages?
2.) What kind of a work environment do you want for your new venture? Please give me a description as if I was visiting your facility to discuss some activity. Where would it be; what form would it take (separate building/shared space/”back of your house”). Where do you want to work – what part of the country and why (United States because it’s huge market)? How do you envision your employees describing their work environment in a tweet? What’s the atmosphere like?
3.) Which types of people do you envision hiring; who will do the hiring and describe your employees – provide a one-line job description of one position; where will you find your employees; who will do the hiring?
4.) Describe your intentions in dealing with your fellow management team members; what role will you play with outside investors and partners? How will you distribute control, authority and power throughout the organization?
5.) Who will be the “symbol” of your company? If you, describe what your point of view is towards branding yourself. Please provide a leadership role model name (i.e. are you Richard Branson, Donald Trump or someone else); what will be your media policy – who talks to the press; what is your attitude and why? What will you say about your new venture?
