need to be allocated and
managed in a project
•To evaluate the potential positive and negative effects of this activity on the success of a

Assignment Task
Select and research:
• An operational level project currently or recently undertaken in your own organisation
Or

only
if it is not possible to find a project in your own organisation
• A project carried out by an external organisation
* the project must have a minimum team of 6 and a lifespan of at least 12 months

Then:
•Examine and evaluate the process of allocating roles and responsibilities for this project
•Comment on how effective this was in contributing to the success of the project
•Redefine 1 (one) role and its responsibilities that you consider could have been improved
•Make recommendations that will improve the process of allocating roles and responsibilities
within projects in your own organisation

You need to show that you have:
•Selected and researched an appropriate project
•Identified and
explained positive and negative features of the way in which roles and
responsibilities were allocated
•Redefined 1 role and its responsibilities
•Made recommendations for improvement to the overall process

conflict within and outside the team

To explain how these factors should be managed to ensure that the team remains effective

Explain the complexities and causes of team dynamics

Show understanding of the role of creativity and
conflict in team and/or stakeholder situations,
and demonstrate the ability to manage these effectively

•Identify the needs of at least 3 (three) stakeholders (external to the team itself)
•Identify potential areas of conflict, within the team and between the team and the selected stakeholders

Make recommendations that would have reduced or eliminated conflicts which have arisen,
And or will reduce the chances of conflict arising in the future
You need to show that you have:
•Analysed the way in which the team operates and is managed
•Identified the needs of individual team members including the team leader
•Identified the needs of the selected stakeholders
•Identified actual or potential areas of conflict
•Made recommendations for the effective management of conflict within the team and between the team and the stakeholder
