Task:
Paula Palgrave now wants to undertake a review of HR policies to address the issues surrounding the evening shift. You are an HR consultant employed to help ServiceCo address its problem issues.
She has commissioned you to address four specific areas:
➢ Staff turnover.
➢ Performance management.
➢ Sickness absence.
➢ Skills development.
For this report Paula Palgrave wants you to produce a report that evaluates these four key issues that affects the organization’s ability to successfully implement appropriate HR practices for the company. She wants the report to reflect current best practice from both an academic and a practitioner perspective.
You are required to produce a set of recommendations that will enable the firm to improve its existing practices in this area.
Undertake your report by using your knowledge of HR theory and practice. Your report must be a balanced report identifying the priorities for the firm. You must consider the positive and negative aspects of any theory and practice that you recommend.
