Homework D Supplemental Directions;

Homework “D” consists of the “End of Chapter Exercises” for Chapters 10, 11 & 12
Homework “D” is Due typed and in class by Wednesday, April 29th
Please Read the Directions for all “End of Chapter Exercises” in the Textbook first.
1.)    Chapter 10—In this exercise, you will need to complete both parts A & B. For part A, follow the directions in the book to find the disability(s) of the famous people listed. Do not forget to answer the two questions listed below the names. For part B, read the scenario and then answer the following four questions. Again, the answers you are looking for here are not just your personal opinion. You need to keep in mind the legislation that covers the disabled.
2.)    Chapter 11—In this assignment, you do not have to “find a teammate” or “articulate your arguments for the class.” You do need to read the case scenario and answer the two questions listed below the case. (1) What are the preferences in the situation? And (2) Is this a valid exercise for affirmative action? (You must choose yes or no and explain why you made this choice– in a paragraph with a minimum of five sentences to receive full credit.) Be sure to remember what the book definition of what a “preference” is.
3.)    Chapter 12—This is the post-test which asks you the same questions that were asked in chapter 1.  After (1) answering the seventeen questions, you need to (2) list which of your answers have changed or if no answers changed at all. (3) If any of your answers did change, share what information gained in class caused you to change these answers or, if none of your answers changed, why this is the case.
