For this assignment, imagine that you have been hired by a tourism board that seeks to draw more visitors to a historic battlefield from the War of 1812. It is your responsibility to write an advertising brochure for that battlefield. The brochure, which must be at least 300 words in length, must do the following:

1. Obviously, it must identify the name and location of the battlefield. If you can, you might wish to include a map and/or some photographs of the field.
2. It should tell the reader why the battle fought here was important and interesting. To do that, you will need to explain the significance of that battle to the larger war. And to do that, you should also explain to the reader why the War of 1812 itself was important and interesting.
Needless to say, you will need to use the internet to research this assignment. Because the War of 1812 recently celebrated its 200th anniversary, there are an abundance of websites about it. This listing of historic sites from the war is a good place to start. Please list the websites you consulted at the end of your paper.
