Maslow criticizes the “retreat from relativism” by the Humanities and says, “Education must be seen as at least partially an effort to produce the good human being, to foster the good life and the good society” (H206). Explain the criticism that Maslow is making and indicate whether you believe Haidt is or is not suggesting that Psychology can do something to address this criticism. Do you personally believe that a science of Psychology can contribute to the goal stated by Maslow? Explain your position.
