This element of our coursework for the musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation module involves presenting a patient case study. we need to present this case study in a

written form (maximum 3000 words), the information we present needs to be structured into the sections outlined below, providing the information requested.

Section 1: Nature of the injury 15%
• Describe the history of the injury; mechanism of injury, nature of forces and
loads involved, presenting complaint and current state of athlete (on
examination-performance-load continuum). Identify any factors, which may
have contributed to the injury.
Section 2: Problem list 15%
• Present a problem list of the issues facing the athlete including a fully needs
analysis for the rehabilitation & return to sport periods
Section 3: Management plan 20%
• Present a management plan of how the problems and needs of the athlete
are to be addressed with regard the problem list above. For each of the action

relevant). Present these goals with time scales and how you are going to
measure attainment. Consider using the table below

Section 4: Justification and critical appraisal of management plan 40%

terms of the methods and modalities chosen and also the outcomes. Use available

failures during the management of this athlete.
