MFB Multi-Band Equalisation Systems

Paper, Order, or Assignment Requirements

Can you please make a research about the following topic.

Research MFB multi-band equalisation systems. Show (evidence max 2 pages) how the 23 centre frequencies were derived: what proportion of an octave was used and what Quality Factor (Q)and why.

MULTIPLE BANDPASS FILTER 1. Introduc+on The term filter means to exclude unwanted signal in the output to achieve the desired results. Its plays an important part in an electronic circuit where a desired output is required. It has capabili+es of a?enua+ng low, high or selec+ve range of frequency. The circuit which has a capabili+es to perform such kind of opera+on is called as filter circuit or filters. There are two main advantages of using the mul+ple feedback bands pass filter such as is doesn’t not required inductor which are not only bulky but also expensive, apart from it does not required two op-amp which makes the circuit big. Figure 1.1 mul+ple feedback filter schema+c diagram 2. Octaves In and electronics mul+ple feedback circuit an octave is doubling of a frequency. A GAIN ROLL-OFF RATE of 6dB/octave defines a change of 6 dB for each doubling or halving of frequency. For e.g. 4 kHz to 8 kHz. The octave can be also divided into 12 different parts but prac+cally it’s not possible because the human ear have logarithmic frequency response. In order to divide so the frequency has to be mul+plied by the 12throot of 2 i.e. (1.05946) twelve +mes to get the next frequency. Also most of their applica+on requires the 1/3 part of the octave which be achieved by the mul+plying 3rd root of root 2 i.e. (1.26) Octave band frequencies 31 62 125 250 500 1000 2000 4000 8000 16000 For ½ Octave band frequencies 31 44 63 87 125 175 250 350 500 700 1k0 1k4 2k0 2k8 4k0 5k6 8k0 11k 16k 20kFor 1/3rd Octave band frequencies 25 31 40 50 63 80 100 125 160 200 250 315 400 500 630 800 1k0 1.2k 1.6k 2k 2.5k 3.2k 4k 5k 6.3k 8k 10k 12k 16k 20k
