– at least two relevant (and recent) news articles or commentary on the issue. Y
– our paper should describe the problem and how your news/commentary articles contribute to our understanding.
– For example, they may provide an example of a theory, pattern or trend we discussed in class or possibly elaborate on a controversy we touched upon.
Format Guidelines:
• Please include your name, ID number and an informative title at the top of your paper.
• Your analysis should be no more than two double-spaced pages (minimum 1 ½ pages) with one inch margins, be free of grammar and spelling errors, and utilize proper American Sociological Association citation practices. Your reference list can appear on a third page if necessary.
• Papers that show evidence of plagiarism not acceptable
• Your analysis paper should have an introduction and a thesis or general organizing statement.
• As with your film analysis papers, please demonstrate that you have carefully read the course materials and utilize specific concepts, definitions, or examples in your paper.
• You should end your analysis with a brief conclusion and personal reflection on the implications of the articles.
