Stafford and Canary identified five maintenance strategies that contribute to romantic relational maintenance ( p. 108). These strategies are 1) positivity, 2) openness, 3) assurances, 4) social networking, and 5) sharing tasks. (read the text carefully about the definition of social networking, it is not social media connections in this question).

In your own significant-other relationship or another romantic couple you know, describe IN DETAIL how they practice or fail to practice all these strategies. Divide your work into 5 sections – one for each maintenance strategy. Also note that social networking is face-to-face communications, not social media.
