Muslim scholars and Western definitions of knowledge

1. Gather a range of examples of Muslim scholars and Western definitions of knowledge both historical and contemporary sources.
2. Carry out an initial sorting or preliminary coding using an historical lens. In other words… present the definitions from oldest to most contemporary for both eastern and western definitions and the flow of ideas as they shift over time (or not) . You can draw from across the range of documentary sources. You will be asked in this session to identify the key common and different ideas carried in these definitions.
Secondly ensure that you know the contexts in which each document was written…. is it a government policy for example…. and what were the drivers for this policy
