My own leadership journey and style (Servant Leadership)

The paper will deal with the student’s personal search for the leadership role of the chaplain. The paper may reflect upon and evaluate – but is not limited to – issues and questions such as the following:

1) Your personal theological and spiritual reflection on spirituality. The bases for your reflections, that gives credibility to your “discovery”.

2) Biblical examples that have guided your reflections and elaboration of the style of leadership that you have formulated for yourself.

3) Formulate and explain your ethical values. Explain how your belief system provides the bases and foundations of your “core ethical values”.

4) Analysis of the different leadership styles and theories and how they are integrated in the chaplain’s own style of leadership, of the same and why.

5) The implications of your experience for the practice of chaplaincy. Why? How? What you can do to further enhance your ability to understand the ethical, spiritual, and religious bases for decision making and guidance of the “flock” that has been entrusted to the chaplain as “the spiritual LEADER”.
