“next steps” plan

you will create your “next steps” plan. Using PowerPoint or equivalent presentation software, this presentation will describe how you intend to move forward with your research assignment in the next class. Please see the template below for what to include in your short presentation. Please see the example included here [PDF].

Your presentation needs to include the following:
1. Introduction:
provide an overview of the research area you have chosen to focus on for your thesis or action research exploration.
2. Areas for exploration and next steps:
In more detail, describe 2-3 “big ideas” that you have already started to uncover because of your literature review. Then, describe your next steps as you consider what else you might need to read or learn to better understand your topic. What questions do you have about the areas that you still need to explore? What new ideas that you might need to pursue have come up now that you have completed your literature review?
Provide a rationale for how you intend to seek out sources that are appropriate for your research question or thesis statement. This would focus on how you plan to conduct a detailed literature search, including topics, search keywords, and the online libraries you intend to explore as you continue to refine and focus your work.
3. Conclusion:
Provide a brief conclusion describing the overall plan.
