Nursing Practice – Nursing Staffing Issues

This paper should address NURSING STAFFING ISSUES that interferes with the provision of competent nursing care. Please USE AND CITE literature from ANA, NLN, NYSNA, Joint Commission, QSEN websites when completing this assignment.

PLEASE COMPLETE THIS PAPER AS FOLLOWING:

1. Clearly describe NURSING STAFFING ISSUES: giving definition(s), a brief history/background or any information that is relevant to it. Identify if it is a National quality/ safety goal. Includes five or more examples, and related problem to National patient safety goals.

2. Present nurses’ stories (from the literature) that illustrate how NURSING STAFFING ISSUES affect the individual nurse(s) and nursing care. Describes four or more stories depicting the nursing staffing issues practice and impact on nurses.

3. Present positions or viewpoints, on NURSING STAFFING ISSUES, that are documented in the nursing literature. Include the positions of professional nursing organizations regarding this problem.
Describe positions of FOUR OR MORE professional organizations (SUCH AS ANA, NLN, NYSNA, Joint Commission, QSEN websites) related to nursing staffing issues.

4. Develop a plan to manage NURSING STAFFING ISSUES. Be specific- including strategies for government; professional organizations; hospital/ agency administration; nurses. This management plan should include FIVE OR MORE STRATEGIES FOR EACH: government, professional organizations; hospital administration; and nurses. Describe how this will impact your nursing practice.
