online education adequately prepares people for college and/or the workplace
Description of the paper
For your final paper, you will be composing an argumentative synthesis. You will create your own unique argument based on an issue addressed in two source texts that
you believe best support your argument. Your process will be to “read the articles, think about the arguments presented by each author, reflect on your own knowledge
and feelings concerning the topic, then present an argument in which you assume and defend a position of your own issue
**These are my teacher requirements:
1. Organize carefully: your claim should be clear and specific, and your transitions and topic sentences should take the reader through your argument with ease.
2. Consider your tone: argumentative syntheses are formal essays, so the use of first person and/or personal anecdotes are not appropriate.
3. Be thorough: provide adequate evidence from your three source texts. Remember that “evidence” either directly supports your position or it can be refuted,
conceded, or acknowledged to make your case stronger.
4. Appeal to your audience: Consider how your knowledge of logos, pathos, and ethos might play a role in the essay.
