Organizational Behavior by Ray French

evaluate a current organizational behavior topic book from
popular press of their choosing and with approval from the instructor (You will
submit a one-page justification of the book you would like to use for the report in Module 3). It should have a publication date of 2010 or more recent. The
students will summarize the major points of the book and analyze the types of OB theories used, concepts covered/addressed, challenges facing the person/organization, how it was resolved, and key takeaways from the book.
Students will augment their findings with at least 5 other references (recent journal articles and company websites ? more emphasis on articles). Students will identify aspects where they agreed and disagreed with the authors. Students will submit the formal written report in Module 14. Each report must include the following:

Cover page: Name of the Book, Your Name, Course # and Semester.
? Executive Summary of the book (3-5 pages) ? this is included in the 18-20
page total for the assignment
? Problem facing the person/organization ? Describe it.
? OB in Action: OB concepts/theories covered by the authors in book, which
chapters and how
? Conclusion and Discussion:
o Solution offered by the authors/Key takeaways of the book
o Identify aspects where you agreed and/or disagreed with the
authors
? Works cited page in APA format
o All citations within the paper should be in APA format

For every source you utilize, you must cite it using APA citations. I highly
encourage you to use the company web site, periodicals, industry magazines
and other online and hard copy resources from the library.

Students will submit a one-page (MAX) proposal justifying the use of their chosen
book and how it relates to organizational behavior
