Organizational Behavior – Communication problem

Topic:

Your PAA’s contained some excellent and interesting organizational problems. Imagine that your group is an elite consultant company tasked with solving the problem. With reference to several of the key OB (Organizational Behavior) topics that we have covered in the course, explain the problem(s) and what your solutions/recommendations are for addressing the issue(s).

 

We are group of two people; the paragraph below is the basic background for the topic.

AND

The major Organizational Behavior we are looking for is communication within an organization.

In this communication we have several narrow topics you can include:

 

-Interpersonal communication

-Communication skills for effective team leader or manager

-Barriers and gateways to communication

-Defensive and non- defensive communication

-Nonverbal communication

-Positive, healthy communication

-Communication through new technologies

 

Also, for Major Findings part, you must apply some theories related to communication into the project.

 

Background

As an elite consultant company: LI Inc., we are tasked with solving or consulting problems for listed company. Parker is an elite consultant and he is good at dealing face-to-face by giving solution; Ellie is also a consultant and she is focus more on the backstage analysis to solution. We work as a team, and we are professional consultants who are dealing with different phenomena happening within an organization.

Since I have given you so much latitude in picking the project it is tough to come up with a “one size fits all” rubric, and you should bear in mind that each project will be judged on its own merits. Nonetheless, here are some general things that I am looking for. Keep in mind that your project may take a different form than suggested by this rubric and that is fine.

Takeaways:

There are two things that you should take away from this project. First, you will have learned something about a current topic. Imagine how interesting you will be drinking eggnog around the tree this year! Second, you will have learned something about how groups work (or don’t). It is easy to overlook the process, but thinking about the experience can help us to learn from it. Otherwise, as TS Eliot writes, “we had the experience but missed the meaning.”

Beyond every other consideration this project should be enjoyable. Hopefully it will demonstrate to you the incredible range of possible topics that are available to scholars in OB. Honestly, we study everything! And I hope that it will show you that research can be rewarding and “fun.”
