Part1–Prepare and cost a quotation

Acustomer of yours Mrs.Marie Brown has been a regular customer for years. She and her husband David have always enjoyed luxurious holidays to many far and away places. So it came as no surprise when she entered the store again and asked for a business class quote for a proposed holiday to Fiji in June with the following details:
•    Business classreturnairfare fortwoadults direct fromSydneytoNadi, Fiji(departure timesduring business hours)
•    Unlimited baggageallowance
•    All transfers included
•    Five star accommodation in a hut/villa along the coastwithuninterrupted views
•    Inclusion of all meals and drinks
•    Premium insuranceincluded

Using a quotetemplateyou have createdor sourced (e.g.fromtheinternet)and the information provided by Mrs. Brown provide a to-date Businessquote. (All costing mustbesourced viaan onlinesystem fromserviceproviders.)
Information to include in the business quote (attachanydocuments assupporting evidenceensuring they are referencedaccordingly):
•    Customerdetails
•    Anitemisedquotewhich clearlydetails allcomponentsof thecustomer’srequestand thecorresponding costing
•    Allrelevantdatesand times(i.e.departures,arrival,check-in)
•    Allrelevantserviceproviders
•    Allrelevanttaxes,serviceand cancellation fees
•    Sales and coordination fees clearing disclosed
•    Anyrelevantterms andconditions
•    Subject-to-changedetails(i.e.quoteexpiration date)
•    Alternatives to an option that became unavailable
•    A final price in Australian dollars  including all taxes andcharges (gross price)

Part 2 – The Compromise quote

Mrs. Brown left the store very content with the discussion you and she had about the holiday planned for Fiji, the next day she received your quote and was coming in the following week to finalise the details.

It came as a terrible shock when Mrs. Brown came into the store in tears. She advises you that her husband has lost his job and they can no longer afford the luxurious holiday that they had planned.
She wants to discuss with you some ‘adjustments’ that could be made to the holiday to ensure they take a much needed holiday but one that won’t break the bank and need the quote quickly.

Mrs. Brown has some ideas regarding the adjustments she would like to propose:
•    Economy class returnairfare fortwoadults direct fromSydneytoNadi, Fiji(departure timesduring business hours)
•    Restricted baggage allowance(after determining that it will behotand thereforewon’tneedmanywarmclothes)

•    Breakfast and dinner included (they will fill upon breakfast and havea light lunch)

•    Sales and coordination fees clearing disclosed
•    Any relevantterms andconditions
•    Subject-to-change details (i.e. quoteexpiration date)
•    Alternatives to an option that became unavailable
•    A final price in Australian dollars  including all taxes andcharges (gross price)

Part 3 – Thecommission

Based on thegross (final)priceof the‘Compromise’quotethatyoudeterminedin part 2ofthisproject,you arerequiredtocalculatethe ‘net’price*of the‘Compromise’quotein accordancewiththe followingcommission structures:
•    Airfare =5%commission
•    Additionalbaggagecharges =0%commission
•    Accommodation,transfersand any inclusivemeals=12%commission
•    Insurance =10%commission

Submit areportwhich not only showsallofthemathematicalcalculationswhichled to youranswer but a description of the application including:
•    The gross price
•    The commission selected fromtheabove structure
•    Howyoucalculated thenetprice
•    The netprice

*NBthe‘net’price iscalculated by subtractingthecommissionfromthefinal(gross)price
