Perception of quality of care
Project description
B1. Problem Outline
Criterion Score: 1.00
Comments on this criterion: 11-13-14
The issue proposed in the problem outline is found in the statement- “One of the problems that arises from using the HCAPHS, as the national tool to assess quality of
care, is the gap between patients and nurses perceptions of quality of care”. This discussion needs further development of the differences in perception that would
impact quality care for clear understanding.
11/03/2014 The delineated summary of the problem presented is a commendable beginning of a well-developed problem outline. Although a problem outline only includes
brevity of detail, the discussion provided lacks an integrated link between problem, possible causes and impact.
Criterion Score: 1.00
Comments on this criterion: 11-13-14
Improving the nurse’s knowledge of patient expectations of care is a well identified solution to the identified issue- the link of HCAHPS scores within this issue
needs further development.
11/02/2014 The strength of the well-developed insightful articulation of a potential solution is weakened by one poorly written sentence. The sentence is not well
structured and its message is not clear.
D1. Data
Criterion Score: 1.00
Comments on this criterion: 11-13-14
Improving the nurse’s knowledge of patient expectations of care is a well identified solution to the identified issue- the link of HCAHPS scores within this issue
needs further development.
11/02/2014 The demographic data to be collected to describe the participants of the study is satisfactorily described. A description of the specific data to be
collected relevant to answering the research questions is not provided.
D2. Instruments and Methods
Comments on this criterion: 11-13-14
The instrument is described as including 12 questions that are formatted as Likert questions. Information on the number of choices the participants will have is needed
along with how many demographic questions will be included.
11/02/2014 Although the planned study, a simple descriptive quantitative, demonstrates thoughtful consideration was given in planning an investigation of a phenomenon,
the articulated description of the data collection instrument to be used is difficult to follow as conflicting information is provided. The discussion begins stating a
Likert Scale survey will be used then the tool is described as a survey asking multiple choice questions.

I have started on my research paper and resubmitted twice. this will be my third time submitting. I have attached the paper, the rubric for grading, and the evaluator
comments. On the section that have a grade as 1 are the areas that need to be revised. (that is 4 sections)
Task:
A. Provide a brief introduction that explains your rationale for the proposed project by doing the following:
1. Present your topic.
2. Describe the participants in your proposed study. Include the following:
• Demographic information
• Additional relevant characteristics of your target population (e.g., cultural factors, learning styles, education levels, prior learning, motivation)
B. Explain the problem and your proposed solution by doing the following:
1. Outline the problem.
2. Describe possible causes of the problem.
3. Discuss your proposed solution to the problem.
C. Present your research question(s).
D. Describe how you intend to answer your research question(s) by doing the following:
1. Describe the data you will collect.
2. Describe the instruments and methods you will use to collect the data.
3. Describe the data analysis techniques you will use to analyze the collected data.
Note: When bulleted points are present in the task prompt, the level of detail or support called for in the rubric refers to those bulleted points.
Note: For definitions of terms commonly used in the rubric, see the Rubric Terms web link included in the Evaluation Procedures section.
Note: When using sources to support ideas and elements in a paper or project, the submission MUST include APA formatted in-text citations with a corresponding
