PERSONAL STATEMENT
Bsc (Hons) Construction Management student from Department of Mechanical & Construction Engineering, Northumbria University, who has schedule project planning, building technology studies knowledge and working skills needed by modern employers. I am seeking for an opportunity to enhance my ability through a postgraduate course.

•    Duties: Throughout this internship, I play the role of a contract assistant, working in the purchase and contract department of the company. The main duties are to receive orders from operations department and make orders to suppliers, process payments and cash flow reports.
•    Skills:  Working in a busy team with high pressure from the large amount of high value orders, I have learned how to work as the member of a team and on my own. The role of the construction contractor makes me familiar with the numeracy work. In addition, I also have chances to connect with customers, suppliers and understand how the supply chains work in a construction company. These numeracy and teamwork skills can be a useful background for studying at postgraduate program.

•    Skills:  – Working skills: Solving construction problems and risk management.
Doing project schedule planning
Analyse construction project’s reports
Using Auto cad, Asta project planning software.
–  Language:       Speak fluently English and Vietnamese
–  Computing:      ECDL qualifications in Microsoft Words, Excel and Access, especially Auto cad 2D, Google sketch up, Asta project planning software. I also have understanding on hard-ware and soft-ware of computer systems.
–  People skills: Logical thinking, Oral presentation, Problems solving.

INTERESTS

•    Watching international news: Reading news from online newspaper is one of my regular activities, as it can be helpful for me to have understanding about global contexts, which relate to the movement of business activities.
•    Playing Sodoku: I started playing this game on my phone 3 years ago. This is small but valuable game, helping my practice problems solving, logical thinking and numerical skills.
•    Doing gym and play 5-a-side football: Every day, after school time, I go to the University sport centre with my friends to play sport.
