Personal Statement for UC Application(Transfer)

What is your intended major? Discuss how your interest in the subject developed and describe any experience you have had in the field – such as volunteer work, internships and employment, participation in student organizations and activities – and what you have gained from your involvement.

Economics.
Please help me think for how I interest in this major.
For the experience, I took part in the Shanghai World EXPO 2010 as a volunteer. And my work was guiding the venues of each country for the passengers. It’s my first experience to see the world. I have booked some economic magazines. Furthermore, My father has invested some money in the stock and I interested about it, so I invest the money in the stock when I just arrived America. Luckily, I earned a little money. I like to read the books which written by success businessman. The story of  how they get success attracts me very much.

Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?

As an international student, I come from China. And I came to America for studying at November 2009. IT takes too much time in community college. The reason is when I study the course that is not for transferring. I didn’t pay attention in it, that makes me fail the course and I have to retake. Please help me explain why I spend so much time in CC.
