Answer the following questions. Responses should be 200-300 words.
Questions are 5 points each, with 5 additional points for completing
the assignment on time.
1) Why is happiness irrelevant to morality. according to Kant?
2) The categorical imperative is categorical. and an imperative. Explain
what each of these terms means and why the will-when acting in
accordance with categorical imperatives-is free (ie. why are you free
only when you act according to the categorical imperative)?
3) Explain Nietzsche’s criticism of the need for knowledge and truth.
4) Morality, according to Nietzsche. is an expression of a ‘herd
mentality’ – explain.
