Choose one poem from the textbook, and then research two scholarly essays that discuss the poem you have chosen.  Write an essay explaining what you think the poem means.  You must include the viewpoints of the two essays, discussing how they agree and disagree with your own.  In other words, compare your interpretation of the poem with the interpretations presented in your research.

Your essay must include a thesis that clearly identifies your topic and your claim. Your claim should demonstrate how the three viewpoints connect to the overall meaning of the poem.

Research:
You will need to do some research for this assignment. You will be required to have two scholarly sources outside of the text.  Any internet source should come from the library catalog or the databases.  You are not permitted to use any other website.

Cite your sources, including the poem, using MLA format.
