positive and/or negative effects of popular culture

In an essay, you will identify what you believe the positive and/or negative effects of popular culture are. What are some of the influences that you notice of the various forms of pop culture in society? Discuss how someone and/or something had influenced our society.

You should be addressing specific contributions that your selection has made on our society and prove specifically how your selection affects society. For example, does it affect society in terms of behaviour, language, fashion…etc? The key is not to be too vague where you are making generalizations. You must prove your point with examples, facts, research etc. You have a choice to discuss any realm of popular culture including but not limited to the following genres of popular culture….while choosing something specific within the category you select.

f) Fashion
g) Trends
h) Technology

You must provide research and in text citation (MLA format) in your essay. In addition, you will hand in a Work Cited.

You MUST provide TWO sources outside of the in class material.

This essay MUST be typed, 2-4 pages 12-font, double spaced.
