Predicted Results

Hypothesis: Anxiety Disorders lead to drug use or suicidal thoughts.
You are tasked to come up with Predicted Results.
Predicted Results. Use the future tense. The primary purpose of the predicted results section is for you to share with the reader exactly how you believe the results of the study would turn out if it were actually to be conducted.
You will present your expectations in a “Predicted Results” section. Thus, this will allow you to logically predict, given the methodology you have developed in your “Method” section, the results expected. Be specific in addressing support for hypothesis(es).

Here is the Method I came up with.
Participants
One hundred participant’s ages (18-35-years-old) will be chosen to take part in the study. Fliers will be handed out and notification will be made via radio notifying the public about the study. This method will ensure a broad range of candidates are in the pool of prospective participants. Fifty males and fifty females will be chosen to take part in the study; race and sexual affiliation will not play a part in the selection process. Participants will be chosen based on a previous history of anxiety disorders ranging from panic disorder, agoraphobia, depression, social anxiety and suicidal ideation. And a previous history of casual drug use, long time users or addicts will be exempt from the study. A cash incentive will be given to the participants at the end of each month.
Materials
Students will be given a journal each month for three months to document their anxiety and possible drug use; the journals contents will cover a period of one month in a calendar format. Each day will be broken down to the hour. On the opposite side of the page there will be a list of drugs in separate columns.
Procedure
The day the study is to begin the participants will take the journals given to them and document whether or not they are suffering from any type of anxiety disorder on that particular day. The journal is broken down to the hour so when a student feels like they are having symptoms they will document it in the journal. The other half of the journal is made up of various drugs that can be abused. The participant will document any time they choose to use a particular drug. The drugs are broken down into columns which are also broken down to the hour. This will help the researcher to find a correlation between the onset of anxiety symptoms and drug use or suicidal thoughts.
