The presence of God is removed and won t that instill more fear, more animosity in the population and less acceptance of religious freedoms?

The presence of God is removed and won t that instill more fear, more animosity in the population and less acceptance of religious freedoms? What doesn t make any sense is that the history of the US was built on biblical values and now we re de valuing religion. Why? For acceptance of all? Shouldn t there be some sort of acceptance of all for the beliefs and values that this country was founded on?
