Explain why the Nevada constitution is lengthier than the U.S. Constitution. Explain how that came to be.
How does this affect Nevada judges as they do their jobs of interpreting the NV state constitution compared to federal judges interpreting the US Constitution?

How much power does Nevada’s governor has in the state political system as compared to the president’s power within the national system of government.
What are the differences in their perspective powers (veto’s, pardons, cabinet appointments, judges appointments, etc…)

How is Nevada’s legislature constrained by Nevada’s forms of direct democracy (in term of; the initiative, referendum, recall, and statute affirmation)
What is the effect of the constitutional mandate to meet only every other year for 120 days.

Explain the strengths and weaknesses of Nevada’s system for electing judges compared to the so-called Merit Plan,
“Missouri Plan”, or similar plan, used in other states.
Explain the U.S. national system for appointing judges.
Explain recent attempts of Nevada to move to the merit plan.
Also, outline Nevada’s recent attempts to establish an intermediate court of appeals including its successful attempt in November 2014.
