Primary Research Interview
Project description
conduct 3 real interviews with experts and fill the report form? The instructions is in the uploaded documents.
Primary Research Assignment – Interviews
Winning capstone teams often succeed not because of their business idea but because of the amount and quality of primary research that they conducted. Primary research is crucial to learning tacit knowledge—rare and valuable information that cannot be Googled. Additionally, primary research is a vital business skill that helps executives learn about emerging trends before competitors. Because primary research is a vital skill for future business and nonprofit leaders, I require you to demonstrate proficiency in this area.
Over the semester, each student needs to conduct a total of six in-depth interviews with business, academic, and/or consumer experts. Since the interviews need to be in-depth, you cannot count people you talk with in the Capstone Mixer. For a team of 5 people this equates to 30 interviews of different people. Interviews with family members, students, and friends do not count. These interviews need to be conducted in-person, over the phone, or through webcams with six unique people. You will submit a report on the purpose of your conversation, findings, and its effect on your business plan. The report form for these interviews is below and should be completed for each interview.
