Order Description

Task
Working solo or in pairs, you will find an object or image of an object, and ‘bring it to life’ in a short physical performance.
1. PERFORMANCE 15%
The first part of the task is to ‘perform’ your object, demonstrating:
– how it moves
– how you move with it and/or inside it. Duration: 5-10 minutes. Due: December 11.
2. WRITTEN COMPONENT 15%
The second part of the task is to document your research process and progress, explaining the object and the genesis of your performance.
Length: 1000 words per person.
Format: Please hand in a hard copy of your written work immediately after your presentation. Due: December 11.
Assessment Criteria
You will be assessed on your demonstrated ability to:
– create a uniquely original Structure and performance
– clearly show how your Structure moves and how you move with it and/or inside it
– clearly and logically explain your Structure and how you conceived and developed it
– demonstrate your process of sourcing research material for your demonstration/performance
– work autonomously toward a devised performance outcome
