Write an academic report on the professional communication skills that are important to develop to work in the hospitality, tourism or event industry.

In order to structure your report, consider the following:
Discuss the importance of the different types of communication skills and the role they play for both the manager and employees.

Discuss the development of individual skills from note taking to a range of written communication skills and their transferability to the workplace.

Complete a CV using the required template that highlights your skills, achievements and experiences. This will be submitted electronically through the Moodle drop box.

Word Length: 1200 words (not including the executive summary, tables, charts, graphics and appendices)

The report could include the following – Verbal and non-verbal communication, listening, teamwork, business etiquette, internal and external communication and transferability of skills. Written communication skills in the workplace, different types of reports. Networking.
