Pick any kind of topic related to the Computer Algorithms to complete this Journal.

The Programming Journal must be submitted with a reasonable number of independently selected projects that are either successfully run or with sufficient testing and analysis to determine why it didn’t work, and both examinations must be completed. 

By all, the Journal should at least include: source code, observations, implementations, and conclusions. And finally the most important is, make it interesting! Because if you think it is interesting by yourself, then so does the Professor!

I think is to include an example code programming: just some sample source code along with the journal — in order to make the whole journal more perfection.
