Propaganda in a novel

Your essay must present a detailed close reading of central passages in order to illustrate how social, political and/or ethical issues are communicated through the medium of the text(s) you are analysing. Please make sure that your essay is motivated and organized by a central thesis statement that has a clear argument.

Why do you think that a specific author’s (or character’s) use of propaganda is either justified or unjustified? NOTE: you must focus either on the author himself, or one of the central characters in his text in order to answer this question.
