In Unit 1, you were introduced to the Riverbend City case study. You learned more about their public needs assessment project in Unit 5, and in Unit 7, the data they were analyzing and methods they were using to prepare to prioritize needs were revealed.
Using Riverbend City as the case and any peer-reviewed sources you have identified, analyze the effectiveness of the process they are using to solve their problem. How would you define the problem? Are the right people represented on the NAC? Is the right data being gathered? Does it appear that it is being analyzed in the proper way to get at the results needed to develop a realistic list of needs to prioritize?
When you are preparing this analysis, think like a consultant who has been asked into the process by one of the stakeholders, either public or private. You want to be objective, constructive, and substantive in your comments. What are they doing well (confirmation and affirmation for them), what areas could use more attention or enhancement (things that could be done better), and what recommendations do you have (fixing things)? Provide a rationale based on the literature for your analysis and recommendations.
Your assignment paper should be prepared in APA format and academic style, with at least 10 peer-reviewed sources supporting your analysis. The paper will be approximately 5 pages in length before the cover page and references list. Attach this Word document to your assignment submission.
