b. Select a topic in the public policy arena and discuss why this topic is important to you. (Feel free to choose a topic you’re comfortable with, i.e. education policy ex. No Child Left Behind or Common Core)
c. Describe the context in which you could effectively lead an effort to develop public policy in this topic arena. Use a minimum of 3 references to support your choice of this context.
d. Describe the steps to be taken to see that policy is implemented and assessed using a minimum of 3 applicable research references that support each of those steps. You may use a combination of topic specific and public policy research references.
e. Identify and describe the opportunities and potential pitfalls throughout the process.
f. Identify and define the leadership competencies required to successfully design and implement your public policy initiative using a minimum of 3 appropriate research literature references.
g. Discuss your current leadership abilities and future growth potential that will enable you to be an effective public policy advocate.
